This painting truly captures everything I loved about my childhood. I'll never forget the countless weekends we spent at our lake cabin on "Bear Trap" lake in Western Wisconsin. We would stop at the local marina/store which was just a short boat ride away.
This painting is also a tribute to the artist that inspired me as young kid, Terry Redlin. Redlin's depictions of American nostalgia captured my imagination as I shared many of the passions he portrayed so well in his work. This painting combines the best of both worlds in my mind and I hope to explore this passion inside of me in the years to come.
